This tour combines scenic hiking and thrilling marine activities, guided by a local guide who will tell you about the area’s history and natural beauty.
Start at Osawa Port, where your adventure begins with a hike through tranquil forests, dramatic cliffs, and breathtaking ocean views. Along the way, discover the resilience of the local communities who rebuilt their lives after the disaster, and how they continue to thrive in harmony with the land.
After the hike, enjoy free time for lunch at the Jodogahama Rest House. Then, get ready for an exciting sea kayak adventure (or try stand-up paddleboarding) on the calm waters of Jodogahama Bay—one of the most scenic spots along the trail.
You can choose from meeting at Morioka station at 7:30 or at Miyako station at 10:00am.

The weather can change quite a lot even within the same day, so please ensure you have good quality rain-wear, as we hike in the rain as well (provided it is deemed safe).
Please advise of any dietary restrictions beforehand. Please note, vegan diet is not able to be catered for at this time.
Please ensure you have a good physical ability so you are able to participate in all activities.
Should the weather be unsuitable for kayaking, this may be changed into a longer hike, or a cycling tour in Miyako city.
※ The hike section can be changed into a cycling course in Taro area for an additional cost.
